- Mix the Ingredients: Add finely chopped red onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley and dill, lemon zest and juice, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and optional spices to the salmon. Stir gently to combine, taking care not to overmix.
- Form the Patties: Shape the mixture into equal-sized patties about 3 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick to ensure even cooking and a perfect crispy crust.
- Heat the Pan and Fry: Warm olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place patties in the pan and cook for about 4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain and Serve: Remove patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Serve immediately for optimal texture and flavor.
