Description

Parmesan Garlic Cheeseburger Lasagna with Bacon is a comforting fusion dish combining the best flavors of cheeseburgers and lasagna. Featuring layers of juicy seasoned ground beef, creamy garlic-infused cheese sauce, crispy smoky bacon, tender pasta sheets, and fresh herbs, this dish delivers a rich, savory, and cheesy experience perfect for family dinners, gatherings, or cozy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat & Protein

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 68 bacon strips

Cheeses

  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Produce & Herbs

  • 34 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Pantry & Dry Goods

  • 912 lasagna noodles (cooked or no-boil)
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon and Meat: Fry bacon strips in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. In the same pan, brown the ground beef with minced garlic, salt, and pepper until fully cooked and fragrant, allowing the bacon fat and beef juices to deepen the flavor.
  2. Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded Parmesan, and freshly chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly to create a creamy, garlic-flavored cheese layer.
  3. Assemble the Lasagna Layers: Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles. Spread a portion of the ricotta-Parmesan mixture evenly over the noodles. Sprinkle cooked ground beef, crispy bacon pieces, and shredded cheddar cheese on top. Repeat the layering process until the dish is filled, finishing with a generous topping of cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake Until Golden and Bubbling: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 25 minutes. Remove the foil halfway through to allow the cheese on top to bubble and turn a golden brown. After baking, let the lasagna rest for a few minutes to let the layers set for clean slicing.

Notes

  • Use quality cheeses like fresh Parmesan and sharp cheddar for best flavor and texture.
  • Cook lasagna noodles al dente to avoid mushiness and maintain structural integrity.
  • Ensure bacon is cooked until crispy to add crunchy texture to the layers.
  • Allow the lasagna to rest after baking to make slicing easier without collapsing.
  • This dish can be made a day ahead and refrigerated to deepen the flavors.
